Francis Maude

Former UK Minister

Francis Maude served as Margaret Thatcher’s Minister for Europe and Hong Kong, Minister for Corporate Affairs, and Financial Secretary to the Treasury in his early ministerial career. Between his two periods of public service, Francis was Global Head of Privatisation at investment bank Morgan Stanley.

In 2010 Francis was appointed Minister for the Cabinet Office. He led a ground-breaking reform programme that in five years delivered efficiency savings of more than GBP52 billion from the running costs of government.

Since leaving government in 2016, Francis set up FMA to work with governments around the world seeking to deliver challenging reform programmes. FMA works with clients to help them save money, improve services, and build lasting capability.
