Pavlos Apostolides

Born in Athens, 1942.

 Law Degree, University of Athens, 1965. 

Joined the Greek Diplomatic Service the same year.

 Served in a variety of posts before becoming Ambassador to Saudi Arabia in 1987. Consequently appointed Ambassador to Cyprus, Political Director of the MFA, Permanent Representative to the European Union and Secretary General of the MFA. 

Director General of the Greek Intelligence Service from 1999 to 2004. 

Exploratory talks with Turkey on the Aegean 2010-2016.

 Grand Cross of the Order of the Phoenix, Greece. 

Non-executive member and later Vice President of the Board of Alpha Bank, 2004-2016. 

Special Advisor of Eliamep since 2006 and Board Member since 2012. Foreign languages: English, French. Author of “Covert Action” on the history of the Greek intelligence Services ( 2014).
