Former UK Ambassador to Russia

Sir Tony Brenton was a British diplomat for over thirty years, He served in Cairo, EU Brussels, Washington DC and Moscow twice, the second time as Ambassador. Within the Foreign Office he was responsible in the course of his career for a range of multilateral issues and institutions including global climate change, the UN and creation of the International Criminal Court. He is now a commentator and writer on international issues, particularly Russia. He has written books on environmental diplomacy and the Russian Revolution, and is a Fellow of Wolfson College Cambridge and the Cambridge University Department of Politics and International Studies
